The Ragdoll was created in the 1960’s by Ann Baker in California.  Ann wanted to develop a cat with an extraordinary personality and a wonderful disposition – the perfect house cat when you think about it!

Ragdolls are stunningly beautiful in appearance and have personality to match; they are loyal, very trusting and extremely friendly.  They can adapt to most environments and to us are the ULTIMATE CAT

The Ragdoll is a semi longhaired cat with a thick, soft, silky coat that flows into a luxurious neck ruff. Intensive grooming often associated with many other long hair breeds isn’t normally needed with Raggies because of the texture of their fur.  A weekly brushing is highly recommended to keep their coat at its best.

The Ragdoll has beautiful blue eyes that would melt any heart.

Ragdolls need & want to be part of every thing that you do.  The best families are those that will include their Ragdoll as a family member – a Ragdoll will not be ignored.

We have a “no closed door policy” with our Raggies. They will sit at the door and either wait patiently for it to open or will push their paws through the gap just to remind you they are still there.

Raggies will always be waiting at the door when you come home - peeking out windows, ready to greet you.

Once you include your Ragdoll in your family's lifestyle, you will be rewarded with a loyal companion for many years

The Ragdoll is one of the larger breeds of cat with boys weighing 7-10kg and girls a little smaller at 5-8kg.  They generally don’t finish maturing until they are around 3 or 4 years old.

As the name implies, they are just like a child’s Ragdoll when picked up - they have an uncanny ability to go very limp when held.  We still get a great deal of joy when we see the face of somebody who experiences this for the first time with one of our cats or kittens.
